Taryn was a gift in every sense of the word! She came to me as a 16 month old after being relinquished by people who were unable to keep caring for her. I gained a wonderful dog and also my precious friendship with Hilary and an introduction to Lindenbrae Kennels. A life changing experience!
Taryn was hilarious! Like many of our dark faced Lindenbrae grrrls she was very definite about what and who she liked, and, without aggression, brooked no opposition to those preferences. If she liked you, she LOVED you. If not, no amount of cajoling would alter her impressions. And like many ‘second chance’ dogs she bestowed her forever owner (lucky me!) with unswerving devotion.
Taryn produced two litters of beautiful puppies, the first to Ch Rullion Gambit and the second to Ch Lindenbrae Hadrian CD. A puppy from this second litter, subsequently Ch Lindenbrae Tarfin Louisa CDX, went to Kate Valk. Kate provided Jessie with wonderful opportunities, showing her to her conformation title and trialling her to her Open Obedience title. Jessie had a number of beautiful puppies including Gr Ch Khayoz Soul Deep UD AD, Ch Khayoz Soul Searcher and Ch Khayoz Against All Odds CDX.
Most of all though Taryn was our buddy, a truly lovely bitch who had a massive impact on my life via her descendants, whilst giving so much love, companionship and entertainment in her lifetime.
Being Sorcha’s great great grandma, Taryn is behind all of my current dogs, and through her Khayoz offspring she is the ancestor of many great dogs. A wonderful legacy for our Border Collie breed.
